What is the King Swings?
"Straight Forward Maximum Energy" and "No Nonsense Bop In Your Face" are good ways to describe the immense power of The King Swings, a new Rotterdam based collective of young talented musicians. Inspired by the great Hard-Bop bands from the 50's, such as Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers and Shelly Mane's Men, they strive to revive hard-swinging music and skyrocket it to a whole new level. By playing modern arrangements and original compositions they create a fresh, swingin' but most of all exciting new sound which will bring the genre right back on top of the charts!
